The council meeting room is a large chamber, surrounded by dark granite columns in a circular chamber. The council table itself is carved from a single slab of granite. The room consists of soaring flying buttresses that held up a domed ceiling that was 200 feet (61 meters) above the floor. The interior is comprised of dark granite and is very well maintained. A gallery overlooks this chamber where spectators can watch the proceedings of the chamber.
